Andy won the spa package from work which included a 2-course evening meal, a bottle of wine, a couples back-massage, a movie of our choice, a night's stay at the Hilton in Reading and a full continental breakfast the following morning. It was amazing! I am so proud of him for winning this lush prize for us as it was just what we needed. Andy has worked the last 22 days in a row - it's a tough ride trying to establish yourself in the Music Industry! (Andy has a new job as the Chief Engineer at a Recording Studio).
I had never had a back-massage before this weekend so I didn't really know what to expect, but it turned out to be so relaxing and I almost fell asleep! The only thing I didn't enjoy was feeling slightly exposed lying naked on the massage table. The masseuse couldn't see anything, but I still felt a little nervous - I think I need to have some more massages to work on that irrational fear ;)
After the treatment, we took a quick dip in the swimming pool before getting ready for our dinner reservation. We had a lovely supper followed by a movie (Despicable Me 2) and midnight feast. The highlight of the stay was most definitely getting to sleep in a HUGE Queen-size bed - oh my! I could cuddle up to Andy or roll away as far as possible if I wanted to! Heaven!
All in all the weekend was a great success and I'll be looking to book another Spa Weekend in the not so distant future (... hopefully!).
